Patient Rights
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act, patients who do not have health insurance or who are not using their health insurance to pay for healthcare services generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of their medical care.
A Good Faith Estimate includes the anticipated charges for scheduled healthcare items and services.
You have the right to:
- Receive a Good Faith Estimate when you schedule qualifying healthcare services at least three business days in advance.
- Request a written Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an appointment.
- Receive the estimate in writing, either electronically or on paper.
- Dispute a bill if it is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate from that provider.
A Good Faith Estimate is not a bill and does not obligate you to receive care.
At Owens Elite Health & Wellness, we believe in transparent pricing. Our published service prices are available on our Pricing page. Any anticipated additional charges for services provided by our practice will be explained as applicable.
